Artist Trading Card Swaps

Are you stuck? Is your art looking same old same old? Branch out! Try something new.

Since I have been doing these little ATC (artist trading cards) swaps, I have discovered new and rekindled old techniques. I have also heard from participants who have received other artist’s cards. They are saying …

Wow! I can do that!

Starting in January 2019, there will be a list of themes that will include a color to be added to your ATC in whatever amount you choose. It could be the background or just one little drop.

Stretch yourself. Try new things. Pull out all the stops. Make each card different.

A few ATC guidlines

  •  ATCs must be based on the Theme and Color listed for the month.
  • Must be 2.5″ by 3.5″ in size.
  • Must be on a heavy base. You can use heavyweight cardstock, chipboard or cut up cereal or other product boxes.
  • Package your 3 ATCs in a clear plastic bag with your name clearly written on the bag.
  • Be sure to include your information on the back. Your name, theme name, date you completed the card, your email (optional, the receiver may want to let you know how much they enjoy receiving your card), you could also include the state your card is traveling from.
If you are mailing them…
  • Place the bag in a sturdy mailing envelope with correct postage and mail to the address at the bottom of the screen.
  • Include a stamped, self-addressed envelope (put your return information as receiver and sender. Write legibly or use a printed label.)
  • Due by the last day of the month.

I will then scramble them up and send back three different cards from three different artists.
